What you’ll do …
  •  Manage all aspects of retail sales and ensure the achievement of sales goals and customer service standards for the Umbra Concept Store in downtown Toronto
  • Provide store leadership and act as brand ambassador to promote the Company vision and core values through exemplary customer care while entertaining and informing clients about the Umbra brand, merchandise, product development processes, and history
  •  Lead by example and train store associates as brand ambassadors to deliver excellent customer service and increase brand loyalty, purchases and repeat visits
  • Implement and demonstrate effective sales techniques to achieve targeted sales results
  • Monitor and communicate sales productivity, goals and performance against goals to senior management and the sales team
  • Analyze and provide feedback on transaction data analysis, product pricing, fast/slow sellers, new products, trends, quality issues and customer comments to Head Office
  • Manage all daily store operations including opening and closing procedures, employee scheduling, shipping/receiving, inventory and supply management, product replenishment, point of sale transactions, visual merchandising and cross marketing
  • Enforce loss prevention, safety and housekeeping standards to protect Company assets and ensure a safe shopping and work environment
  • Assist with social media content, best practice sharing, and event coordination and execution as assigned
What you’ll bring …
  • Minimum 5 years of retail store management experience
  • 3 to 5 years of visual merchandising, shelf arrangement, product placement, cross marketing and framing required
  • Post-secondary education in Retail Management, Business or a related field an asset
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office applications and a familiarity with sales analytics, cloud based scheduling, timesheet management and POS systems are necessary. SAP experience is a plus
  • Must be available to work weekends and evening shifts, and able to stand, walk and lift approximately up to 20 lbs./10 kg as required by business demands
  • Solid business acumen with proven leadership and planning skills in a fast-paced retail environment is essential
  • Proven success in achieving sales goals and increasing productivity through strong employee training, coaching and development
  • Demonstrated ability to enhance customer service and engagement
  • Equally comfortable on the sales floor and in the back room performing all aspects of retail store work
  • Customer-centric mentality and polished professional presentation with well-developed communication and interpersonal skills are required
  • Excellent time management and organization skills with a strong sense of urgency
  • Indisputable integrity as well as credibility and demonstrated ability to influence and motivate others
  • Strong work ethic with proven ability to adapt to changing priorities with a positive attitude
  • Mature analytical and evidence-based decision-making style
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with a passion for design, trends and housewares
